Congress 2023 - The Lighter Side

Jayne, Camp Mum, saw to it that there was an active social scene at Congress this year. We were treated to drinks and nibbles on Tuesday evening, followed by a dinner at Roxie's Red Hot Cantina on Thursday. The staff at Roxie's were wearing T-shirts with a slogan peculiarly appropriate for our group, "Be Bold, Be Brave...Be Lucky"

Perhaps the highlight (at least for those who attended) was the quiz night hosted by NZ Bridge. Jane Stearns organized our team, the Northland Nutters, consisting of herself and her husband Dave (our ringer!), Jayne, Laurie, Kevin and Kim. After a comprehensive grilling from the quiz master on topics ranging from history, geography, sports, music lyrics and many more, the Northland Nutters emerged victorious, having led from start to finish! Hopefully next year we'll get a chance to defend our crown!
