A New Feature!

We would like to introduce a new column of club talk from Peter Pan and Wendy, the well known burglars at Junior tournaments.
 

Our time in Juniors has come to an end. We really enjoy our bridge and the lovely people in our club. Our column will highlight the humorous things we see and hear. A wee bit of embellishment may occur from time to time and we ask that things be taken in the light-hearted way we intend.

From the recent Whangarei Teams Tournament - A regular player who claims that he has never won a raffle in his 72 years, was persuaded by Ron at the door to buy tickets as a donation to the club, 3 tickets purchased. Time comes for the draw and the first one read out is his number, shocked he collects his obscene amount of chocolate and sits down to complete the hand he was declarer for. But then his name is called again - having enough chocolate to last a few months he yells "draw it again!", - naturally by this time he has lost track of the play and makes a mess of it. But that is not the end of it, at the Broome Family Tournament a fortnight later Ron talks him into another donation of $5 for three tickets and he wins again - how much chocolate can he handle - Eat your heart out Len -6 tickets three prizes!
