Whangarei Teams tournament to go ahead on Saturday 19 March
11 teams have entered and we need one more entry to secure the 12 necessary to go ahead with the tournament. If you have not already put your entry in - don't delay! Whangarei members are asked to help with providing morning tea for our guests. Kevin Grundy and Kim Thomas finish in TOP 10 National Congress
Congratulations to Kevin and Kim who stormed the National Congress intermediate pairs field to reach a Top 10 finish. A stunning second session saw them top of the field and just missing a podium spot in a very close contest.
Whangarei pairs in Top 10 across NZ
X Club deals are played on Monday nights at the club. The same deals are played by many other clubs across NZ. Three pairs from Whangarei finsihed in the Top 10 this week - congratulations to Alan Pumfleet and Juliet Golightly (4th), Carlene Mason and Jane Stearns (6th) and Renate Tolks and one of our newest members, Chris Tobin (10th).

Highlights from Prizegiving 2021
A wonderful Christmas party, some fun bridge, and a chance to applaud our winners this year. Special thanks to one of our newest members, Sandy Maihi, for all her help in the kitchen.
Nativity themed bridge
A shared supper for the final night of Monday eve bridge saw players with a variety of themed outfits on display. Highly commended were Grant Algie for his donkey (with tail), Jerry Pauli as a Wise Man, Alan Pumfleet as Joseph in full carpenter outfit with hard hat, our stars Judy Allison, Juliet Golightly and Julie Kelsall, Angel Heather Saunders and lamb Jane Stearns.
