To join an Auckland session you need a partner also registered with BBO to play with.

Theatre night out for club members

Enjoy a fun night out at The Octagon Theatre. They have offered a private performance of their upcoming show "Black Adder II" to members of the Whangarei Bridge Club. The performance is on 22 September. Meal and show $48. 6.45pm start. Essential to let Jane know before Wed 11 August if you want a ticket as any unreserved by club members will go on sale to the public after that date.

Graduation Invitation

On Monday 2 August we will celebrate the graduation of 34 students coming through lessons and transitioning into club play.  Please come along to the club on Monday evening to celebrate with them and applaud their achievement.  Cheese and crackers, wine and juice will be served from 6.30pm.  The graduation ceremony starts at 7pm and play begins at 7.30pm.  You do not need a partner and no table money is payable.  We hope many of our members will come along to welcome our newest members to our club.

Lesson 7 - Overcalls

In our next lesson the opponents enter the auction as we learn how to make overcalls and compete for the contract. How should you respond when your partner overcalls? How far do you compete? We also look at scoring for a better understanding of how far to compete in auctions. All welcome. Priority at the practice playing tables to 2021 students.
