A wonderful Christmas party, some fun bridge, and a chance to applaud our winners this year. Special thanks to one of our newest members, Sandy Maihi, for all her help in the kitchen.
A shared supper for the final night of Monday eve bridge saw players with a variety of themed outfits on display. Highly commended were Grant Algie for his donkey (with tail), Jerry Pauli as a Wise Man, Alan Pumfleet as Joseph in full carpenter outfit with hard hat, our stars Judy Allison, Juliet Golightly and Julie Kelsall, Angel Heather Saunders and lamb Jane Stearns. The winner was a very beautiful Virgin Mary with her newborn - Janelle McKenzie. Click the read more button below to see all the costumes.
Monday night players have joined "X-Club" and the deals they play are the same as many other clubs across NZ. Their club result is given on the night, but all the clubs results are combined across the country overnight and on Tuesday morning Judith and Penny had come out on top! Congratulations!

Listen in to some familiar voices in this recent broadcast on Radio NZ. The club recently hosted a journalist covering how older people cope during lockdown. Some of our Wednesday morning players feature 2 min 10 sec into this recording Thanks to Rosalie Ross for facilitating the visit.
